I am an over planner and over packer.
My diaper bag always has everything a mom could need or want.
Most of the time these items go unused.
Somehow, I neglected to restock the diaper bag with an extra outfit for baby D.
We went to breakfast as a family.
The temperature during this time was approximately 10 degrees.
Baby D had a blow out.
A BIG ONE.
Not a single item of his clothing could be left on his body.
POOP was EVERYWHERE.
I had to wrap his naked little body in a blanket and put him in his car seat.
Off to Target we went...I bought two sleepers so I would have an extra one in my diaper bag.
Geez.
This is why I am an over packer.

Do you see what I see?
Baby D is growing and changing so quickly!
He is loving his new Christmas toy.
Suddenly, he is aware of the cool things around him.
We have even noticed him reaching up to touch them.

Snow!
My handsome boys and little lady in the snow.
(Baby D will have to wait until next year to play with them.)
Miss Ruthie refuses to wear the snow coat I bought her and instead insists on her fancy coat. Aunt Pretty Princess says she is "just fabulous."

Baby D is 3 months old!
Good heavens this little man is cute!
He is 3 months old today.
He decided to celebrate by giving a gift to Mommy and Daddy...
He slept from 8pm-8am.
Did I mention he is an amazing baby?
He is a big boy for 3 months old. He weighs in at well over 16 pounds. We have been astonished at his rate of growth!
We think maybe he heard a rumor that he is already a big brother so he is trying to get big fast. I keep telling him to slow down. He can be a baby too!
We are all smitten with D. He gets lots of love and kisses through the day.
I am still amazed that God (and his birth momma) chose us to be his family.
We are blessed!

My belly is like the Grinch's heart...it grew three sizes that day!
I am so thankful for a healthy pregnancy!
Baby E will be here in 9 weeks.
Oh my!

The stroller search
I have an obsession with strollers.
I am pretty sure that the right one is going to change my life.
When I am stroller shopping I spend hours researching.
I think one of the reasons I am stroller obsessed is that I like to control the chaos.
I much prefer to know that any of my little blessings that are not mature enough to handle freedom are safely buckled into a seat when we are out and about.
Miss Ruthie will be a big sister twice over before her 2nd birthday. That means she has a lot more stroller riding to do along with her two baby brothers.
That means that three little people need places to sit.
The double stroller I have will no longer work.
So here are some of the options to seat three little ones...
Lord knows my hubby is surely tired of hearing about it.
I am pretty sure that the right one is going to change my life.

I can only imagine how difficult this one is to push. Also, only the kid in the front has a very good view.
This would work for wide open fields. No doorways or people around.
I can only imagine how big this one folds up.
No.
Cool idea but the toddler seat in the back is a sit and stand. Miss Ruthie still needs a real seat. Plus she would hate the terrible view.
This one is very intriguing to me but it is twice the price of my other favorite.
The WINNER (I think)
The Valco Baby TriMode EX Twin with Joey seat
This one will allow the baby brothers to ride in the main part of the stroller and big sis can use the Joey seat and see the world. The Joey seat is easily removed to fold the stroller.
So there you go.
Now you know what is on my mind.
I'll let you know if this is indeed the stroller that will change my life.
Stay tuned.

W lost his first tooth!
It's a big day today! Those front two bottom teeth have been wiggly for some time. W has been waiting patiently for his first tooth to come out. It was the middle of the night when he came in to our room with his tooth in hand. Dad paid up with a big buck-a-roo at breakfast. I think W is looking forward to loosing more of them now!

Our little princess has an announcement...
"Good People of the land, I shall be retaining my title as the one and only Princess in this castle. My baby brother is scheduled to grace us with his appearance in February. At such time, I will be outnumbered 5 to 1. The Queen mother and I are confident that we can still keep our royal subjects (all these boys) under control. Thank you for your attention."

Happy Adoption Day Baby D!
So it's here's to you and three cheers to you!
Let's shout it, "Hip, hip, hip, hooray!"
For out of a world so tattered and torn,
You came to our house on that wonderful morn,
And all of a sudden this family was born.
Oh, happy Adoption Day!

You came to our house on that wonderful morn,
And all of a sudden this family was born.
Oh, happy Adoption Day!
-John McCutcheon
I carefully coordinated this day.
I made sure the children were wearing just the right clothing.
I made sure the grandparents were in the right place at the right time.
I made plans with Hope to see her later that day.
What I didn't plan on was this...
My big sister, DW, drove 9 hours one way to meet baby D and attend his adoption finalization.
When I saw her I lost my good mind.
My sister lives a long way away and I miss her.
Aunt DW gets her very first snuggle.
It's official!
The fan club!
Another precious lady joined us that day. My sweet cousin Mrs. Okie. God literally gave her to me during this adoption process. She loved on Hope. She loved on us. She showed up at just the right times during his birth and hospital stay. God knew what I needed and he gave her to me.

19 Weeks
I have to admit it is a little weird to have a newborn and also be pregnant. I have been joking that the other patients at Dr. K's office are hoping they won't have a tummy this big after they give birth. Ha!
I am enjoying those sweet little baby thumps again.
I am blessed beyond measure.
