Daily Outfit Selfie...
We went to the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Center. We learned about the tribes of Australia. We got another demonstration of the didgeridoo. We learned about the food and medicine used by the tribal people in this area. We also got to see a sweet tribal dance.
Then it was time to learn about the weapons used for hunting. The spear and the boomerang. We got a little lesson and then we got a chance to practice! We threw spears first. Then we threw the boomerang.
Then we loaded a pod on the skyrail. It is a cable car that goes up into the rain forest. The views were spectacular. When we got all the way to the top we were in the village of Kuranda. It is a little village in the rain forest. We ate lunch there and then shopped around for souvenirs.
Next up, a train ride back to Cairns. The train ride was about 1 1/2 hours.
After we arrived at the train station Cairns we loaded the bus for the 1 hour ride back to Port Douglas. You remember that this is the road that is nauseating to those of us with motion sickness. B and I both started to get sick but thankfully we made it home without having to use the puke bags provided. The good news is that we were able to see Wallabies in the wild. They just hop around. It was like seeing deer in a field.

We spent about 4 1/2 hours traveling today...by bus, skyrail, train and then bus again. We were ready to get back to the hotel. The boys got on their swimsuits and soon as possible. EJ ordered food in and we all swam until it was time to eat.
After dinner we hung out for a little while and then the boys went to bed. It was a fun but exhausting day. EJ and I crashed out soon after. This vacation is go, go, go!
